"Healing doesn’t have to hurt – it can be done creatively through playful fun."Ellie Alasantra
Intuitive Artist, Art Facilitator and Energy Medium
The Short Version (About Me)We all carry some trauma from our past. Myself included. I have discovered art to be the most effective and enjoyable way of healing the hurt and pain that I lived with for so many years. By using color and art therapy, I’ve gone from being torn apart as a little girl to an enlightened, spirited soul with laugh lines on my face and happiness in my heart.
I am passionate about helping people discover, heal and express their Inner Light by creating energy art from the words, pictures, colors and patterns that I receive during my meditations. The art I create could help you to heal yourself physically and emotionally from your past trauma and drama as well as help you to feel energized, motivated and ready to take on the world. Other ways that I help people are by facilitating art classes and playshops, which are opportunities to heal yourself from the inside-out through action and playing with paint.
I have been playing with paint since shortly after I was born. I always knew my life would be focused around art. I am formally trained and attended a small arts college where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. That is where I was introduced to meditation and a host of other subjects associated with metaphysics/spirituality. Many of my art projects were centered around spirituality; I just wasn't aware of it at the time (funny how life always seems to work out and guide you to where you need to go). No matter where I was lead (I chose to take the long way a couple of times), I always knew my spiritual path would lead me back to the creative arts.
The Long VersionWe are all human and let's face it... We all have some kind of hurt and pain from our past that may be preventing us from enjoying more out of life. Perhaps we've been carrying it around for 3 months, 30 years or since we were 3 years old. Myself included. My childhood was scattered with abuse, which varied in intensity. It was the kind you can imagine and yes, there were even some sexual pieces mixed in. I grew up in darkness, feeling like I was walking on eggshells all of the time. I learned not to make anyone upset for fear of an angry out lash against me. I learned to put my needs, desires and feelings aside and concentrate all of my energy towards pleasing others in my family. The word "No" was not in my vocabulary.
I carried those characteristics and qualities with me into adulthood, continuing to be a people-pleaser, running (and hiding) from confrontation and neglecting my own needs and desires. I thought I was the only one who felt uncomfortable in the presence of strong personalities. Then I realized how many women and men have experienced similar situations that I had been through and it was at that point that I made the decision to shed the darkness and move towards the Light.
I've gone from being torn apart as a little girl to an enlightened, spirited soul with laugh lines on my face and happiness in my heart. I spent over 15 years in traditional therapy before seeking non-traditional methods of healing – creating the Chakra Energy Art was an instrumental piece in my spiritual journey to find the Light. As I spent many hours in meditation and playing with my paints, I consciously released the trauma and drama that I had been carrying with me for over 45 years. I let go of all of the secrets. I turned the lies into truths. I forgave all who were involved. I welcomed self-love back into my life. I got my personal power back!
Just as the Chakra Energy Art has helped me to heal myself, now I am bringing it to you to use as a healing modality so that you can also find that Light that burns so brightly within you. All it takes is a willingness to allow changes to occur, release the toxic emotions and love yourself again. I can show you how you could balance your chakras while opening the windows and doors to healing.
